Section 7: Replacement Procedures

7.28 REPLACING OPTIONAL STACKER TIMING BELT (ST-TG3)

Before proceeding, switch off the printer and remove the optional Stacker unit installed at the front of the

printer.
Detach the Cover (LH) of the Stacker unit. Refer to Section 7.27 Replacing Optional Stacker PCB (ST-

TG3) for details.
To replace the Timing belt (motor) of the stacker
Loosen the two fixation screws (1) of the stacker motor .

Move the motor mounting position left and right for adjustment and replace the defective Timing belt (2)

as necessary.
Adjust the tension of stacker motor timing belt based on Section 6.21 Adjusting Optional Stacker Motor

Timing Belt Tension (ST-TG3) .
If you need to replace the timing belts (media) , continue the following procedures, otherwise, reverse the

above procedures for reassembly.

To replace the Timing belts (media) of the stacker
Detach the Cover (RH) of the Stacker unit .

First, remove a tight screw to detach the purple Label/tag latch . Then, remove four screws (3) at the
PCB board side that hold the Cover (RH) to the center frame.
Detach the Label/tag latch assembly .
8.
First unhook two springs (4) on both side of the Label/tag latch shaft and then remove the Label/tag
latch assembly from the stacker.
Remove three large screws (5) and two screws (6) on the side frame . Release the the Spring (tension)

(7) and put aside. Remove the side frame as well as the four Bearing (8) attached.
