6.10 ADJUSTING CUTTER SENSORS

The cutter unit equipped with another set of pitch sensor which works independently to detect the media for
cutting.
6.10.1 To adjust Gap/ Center hole sensor
Ensure the printer power is turned off. Detach the cutter unit

without disconnecting the connector.
First, lift up the Main cover , unscrew the shaft that holds
the cutter unit in place, removed the shaft and set aside.
Carefully lift and pull out the cutter unit without disconnect
the connector.
Enter to MAINTENANCE MODE, select SERVICE MODE

and then press FEED button. Refer to Section 4.14 Main-
tenance Mode for more details.
In service mode with SENSOR LEVEL highlighted, press

FEED repeatedly until CUTTER SENSOR GAP/CH is
displayed.
This screen is to check the sensor responses.
Set the label (or center hole tag) at the cutter sensor, check

the LCD screen display, then set the label liner at the
sensor (or pull out the tag) and check the screen again.
The LCD screen will display [0] if label (or tag) is set on the
Gap/ Center hole sensor and display [1] if label liner (or no
tag) is set.
If the LCD screen does not response correctly, proceed the
following steps to adjust the sensor level.
