6.9 ADJUSTING AND CHECKING SENSORS (Cont'd)
6.9.4 Edge Sensor Sensitivity Adjustment
This sensor adjustment regulates penetrating ability for media referencing. The edge sensor is located next to
I-Mark sensor.
To adjust the Edge sensor level with the Operator Panel
Note: This calibration is only for fine tuning. There may isn't any significant value changes during adjustment,
depends on the media used. In this case, adjust the sensor level by the VR potentiometer on the Main PCB
(CONT) .
Enter to SENSOR LEVEL setting screen and press the FEED button repeat-

Disengage the Head lock Lever and the Lid Latch to allow media loading.

Physically position the media, with the R-corner tag rests over the Edge
sensor.
Note:
To stabilize the sensor level, make sure the print head assembly is locked and the media is threaded
correctly.
Check the sensor response via the LCD screen.

The LCD screen will display [1] if tag is set on the edge sensor and display [0] if no tag is set.
Repeat step 2 with the tag taken out and check the LCD screen.

If the LCD screen does not response correctly, proceed to next step to adjust the sensor level.

the range of 0 to 63. The initial value is 31.
