6.12 ADJUSTING PRINT DARKNESS

6.12.1 To adjust the Print Darkness in Adjustment Mode
Press the ONLINE button in online mode state to go offline. Pressing both

the FUNCTION and the
printer to Adjustment mode.The PITCH POSITION screen is displayed.
2. Press FEED button twice to display the DARKNESS screen.
3. Press arrow buttons to set the desired value and press FEED button to

save the setting and proceed to the next Adjustment screen.
The setting range is between 00 and 99, and the initial value is 50.
Note:
It is not advisable to set the print darkness to the higher position as a darker
print-out requires the print head to operate in a higher temperature. Operat-
ing in high temperature may damage the print head in a long run.
6.12.2 To adjust the Print Darkness in User Mode
After turning on the power, press the ONLINE button to go offline. Press the

FUNCTION button to enter the mode menu selection screen.

3. When USER MODE screen is displayed, press the FEED button to enter to
User mode for adjustment.
Note:
PASSWORD may prompt on the display if SET PASSWORD is set to ON in
the Service mode. Please refer to Section 4.15 Service Mode for details in
password inputting.
Press the FEED button repeatedly until PRINT DARKNESS screen is

displayed.
Press / arrow buttons to select the Print Darkness level and press FEED

Setting value can be set from 1 (lightest) to 3 (darkest). The default setting is
