6.9 ADJUSTING AND CHECKING SENSORS (Cont'd)
6.9.5 Jump hole Sensor Sensitivity Adjustment
This sensor adjustment regulates penetrating ability for media referencing. The edge sensor is located next to
I-Mark sensor.
Enter to SENSOR LEVEL setting screen and press the FEED button repeat-

Physically feed in the tag from the media guide until it touches the Lid

Latch and rests over the Jump hole sensor .
Check the sensor response via the LCD screen.

The LCD screen will display [1] if tag is set on the jump hole sensor and display [0] if no tag is set.
Pull out the tag and check the LCD screen.

If the LCD screen does not response correctly, proceed the following steps to adjust the sensor level.
To calibrate the Jump hole sensor level with the potentiometer
NOTE: Measure the sensor level directly in the Maintenance mode only. This is because the sensor
protection (measurement to prolong operating life) is enabled in the ONLINE mode.
These checking activities require the use of a multimeter and may be performed with or without the assistance
of the SATO Test Module .
