6.16 ADJUSTING PRINT HEAD POSITION (Cont'd)
6.16.2 Print Head Alignment
Print head position has a direct impact on print quality. The print head must be parallel with the platen roller for
the printed image to be consistent across the label.
To adjust Print Head Alignment with the knob
Unlatch the print head and locate the purple knob beside the head lock lever . There is 2 position for

adjusting print head alignment.
Turn the knob to position 1 when tag is loaded.

Turn the knob to position 2 when label is loaded.
To adjust Print Head Alignment with alignment screws
ATTENTION:
PRINT HEAD ALIGNMENT SCREWS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ADJUSTED, LEAVE
THE PRINT HEAD ALIGNMENT SCREWS AS THEY ARE (FACTORY DEFAULT), IF
POSSIBLE.
Required tools: Phillips head screwdriver and flat blade screwdriver
Latch the print head.

Look downward to the print head to locate the head bracket mounting screw.

With a flat blade screwdriver, loosen the head bracket screw (flathead screw) securing the print head to the

printer.
Unlatch the print head and remove the head bracket assembly from the printer.
Loosen the fixation screws (right and left) of the removed head assembly to adjust the print head align-

ment. Shift the bracket from the print head accordingly.
Direction A: Head position moves forwards
Direction B: Head position moves backwards
Tighten the two fixation screws loosened in Step 4.

Perform a test print to check the print quality. The print darkness on the right and left sides should be the

same.
Repeat this procedure until proper alignment is achieved.
