Section 7: Replacement Procedures

7.12 REPLACING SID-CON PCB (KEYPAD BOARD)

Before proceeding, switch off the printer and remove left housing cover to gain access to the internal

(electrical) hardware. Refer to Section 7.1 Removal of Housing cover for details.
The Keypad board can be accessed once the Main (CONT) PCB has been removed.

Perform the procedure of step 2 through step 4 of the previous Section, 7.11 Replacing Main (CONT)
PCB and Calendar IC , to removed the Main (CONT) PCB from the printer.
Unscrew the two spacers (1) on the side of the Keypad Terminal with using a spanner .

Remove the four screws (2) securing the defective SID-CON PCB (Keypad board) (3) to the Main

(CONT) PCB chassis .
Remove the defective SID-CON PCB (Keypad board) (3) and disconnect the wiring harness from the

board.
Replace the SID-CON PCB (Keypad board) (3) and reverse the above procedures for reassembly.
6.
After replacement procedure, check the communication conditions with the Keypad.
