Model 7751, 7752, and 7753 calibration

The following procedures calibrate the current source of the Model 7751/7752/7753 module.
The voltage source and I/V converter do not need calibration.

Recommended test equipment

In order to calibrate the Model 7751/7752/7753, you will need the equipment summarized
in
Table
Set the generator to output a 1V RMS, 1kHz sine wave, then send the following
command:
:CAL:PROT:AC:STEP15 1E3
Send the following commands to set calibration dates, save calibration, and lock
out calibration:
:CAL:PROT:DATE <yyyy>, <mm>, <dd>
:CAL:PROT:NDUE <yyyy>, <mm>, <dd>
:CAL:PROT:SAVE
:CAL:PROT:LOCK
For the Model 7751, 7752, and 7753 modules, the maximum
common-mode voltage (voltage between any module terminal
and chassis ground) is 42V. Exceeding this value may cause a
breakdown in insulation, creating a shock hazard.
The source calibration procedure below needs to be performed only once every
two years for the module sources to meet their source output accuracy specifica-
tions. However, you must calibrate the Model 2790 mainframe at least once a
year to meet Model 7751/7752/7753 resistance accuracy specifications.
Make sure the interlock is enabled.
