Section 2: Series 3700A cards general operation Series 3700A Switch and Control Cards Reference Manual Pseudocards You can perform open, close, and scan operations and configure your system without having an actual switching card installed in your instrument. Using the remote interface, you can assign a pseudocard to an empty switching card slot, allowing the instrument to operate as if a switching card were installed.
  • Page 15: Installed Pseudocards

A pseudocard can be "installed" in any empty slot. With the 3720 pseudocard "installed," the instrument operates as if a Model 3720 Thermocouple MUX card is installed in the slot. This allows you to configure a scan and exercise its operation before the switching module is installed in the Series 3700A.
