DMM measurement capabilities

The DMM of the Model 2790 can make the following measurements:
DCV — DC voltage measurements from 0.1µV to 1000V.
ACV — AC voltage measurements from 0.1µV to 750V.
DCI — DC current measurements from 10nA to 3A.
ACI — AC current measurements from 1µA to 3A.
Ω2 — 2-wire resistance measurements from 100µΩ to 120MΩ.
Ω4 — 4-wire resistance measurements from 100µΩ to 120MΩ.
FREQ — Frequency measurements from 3Hz to 500kHz.
PERIOD — Period measurements from 333ms to 2µs.
TEMP — Temperature measurements from -200°C to 630°C.
CONT — Continuity testing using the 1kΩ range.

Accuracy specifications for all measurement functions are provided in
Appendix A.
NEVER connect an external source to the Model 7751, 7752, or 7753
module. Not only can an external source cause damage to the module,
but there is the possibility of igniting an inflator under test if the wrong
channel(s) is closed.
An external source can be used with a 7702 module. However, when
testing airbags or other devices that present a danger from unlimited
energy sources, NEVER connect an external source to the Model 2790
front panel inputs or a 7702 module.
If using an external source with the 7702 model or with the front panel
inputs of the Model 2790, make sure that incorrect channel closures do
not connect the external source to the 7751/7752/7753 module via the
backplane of the Model 2790. Current >100mA from an external
source could damage the 7751/7752/7753 module.
An external source can be used with a 7702 module if not testing
airbags or other hazardous devices. To prevent damage to the 7702
module, do not exceed these maximum signal levels:

Channels 41, 42: 60VDC or 30V RMS, 3A switched, 60W, 125VA
This section shows DUT connections to the front panel inputs of the Model 2790
and to the Model 7702 switching module. Details on connections to the
Model 7751, 7752, and 7753 are provided in the Model 2790 User's Manual.
