Exhaust Water Valve
Component Service
Water Valve
Remove the hose clamps from the water valve.
Remove the two retaining screws from the bottom
of the water valve, then remove the valve from the
bracket.

Installation is the reverse of removal.
Install the two screws first and tighten to a torque
of 36 to 60 In. Lbs. (4 to 7 N·m). Install new hose
clamps.
Exhaust Water Fittings
Starboard: Loosen the water tube fitting from the
exhaust water fitting. Remove the exhaust water
fitting from the exhaust runner.

Exhaust Water Valve Component Service

Port: Remove the hose clamp from the exhaust
water fitting. Remove the exhaust water fitting
from the exhaust runner.

Installation is the reverse of removal. Apply Pipe
Thread Sealing Compound, P/N 764806, or equiv-
alent to the threads of the exhaust water fittings.
Tighten water fittings securely. Make sure the
exhaust water fittings hose or water tube attach-
ments are oriented in the UP position.
Water Filter
Remove the hose clamp from the water supply
hose. Then remove the water filter from the block.

Installation is the reverse of removal. Apply Pipe
Thread Sealing Compound, P/N 764806, or equiv-
alent to the threads of the water filter. Tighten to a
torque of 84 to 106 In. lbs. (10 to 12 N·m). secure
water supply hose with a new hose clamp.
