-399 to -300:
Device-Specific Error Messages
An error number in the range [-399 to -300] indicates that the
instrument has detected an error where some device operations did no t
properly complete, possibly due to an abnormal hardware or firmwar e
condition. This is not a error in response to a SCPI query or command ,
or command execution . The occurrence of any error in this class will
cause the device-specific error bit (bit 3) in the event status register to
be set.

Indicates that an error, termed "system error" by th e
device, has occurred .
(-300)
Device-specific erro r
This is a generic device-dependent error for device s
that cannot detect more specific errors . The code
indicates only that a device-dependent error as define d
in IEEE 488 .2, 11 .5.1 .1 .6 has occurred.
