Airbag System

10. Side Airbag Sensor

1) Turn ignition switch OFF.

2) Disconnect the ground cable from the battery,

and wait for at least 20 seconds before starting

3) Remove center pillar lower trim. <Ref. to EI-41,

REMOVAL, Lower Inner Trim.>

4) Remove Outer Belt (FRONT). <Ref. to SB-8,

REMOVAL, Front Seat Belt.>

5) Remove bracket (A), and then remove cap (B).

6) Using E12 TORX , remove two TORX nuts,

and then detach side airbag sensor (A).

B: INSTALLATION

Use new TORX nuts during re-assembly.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

C: INSPECTION

Check for the following, and replace damaged

parts with new parts.
