Getting Connected to Engine Diagnostics
Extent; select "ENTIRE SCREEN"
Wide; select "OFF"
Select "F5" to continue on to the next menu
Protocol; select "ASCII TEXT"
Maximum send rate; select "AT BAUD RATE"
How many secs/10; select "1"
End of line; select "CR-LF"
Convert null lines to a space; select "NO"
Remove escape sequences; select "NO"
Stop upon receiving; leave blank
The setup procedure is now completed, select "Esc" to end setup.
5. Power "ON" the printer (wait for the printer to finish it's power up sequence before proceding)
VTERM will automatically connect to the serial cable through the Com port.
6. Press the "Ctrl" & "D" keys simultaneously to reach the "<DBG> prompt
7. Type "edg" for the Main Menu to appear
You are now ready to run the Engine Diagnostics (refer to section 9).
If a test result becomes suspect during the Engine Diagnostic testing, the printer should be turned "OFF", and then
steps 5 through 7 should be repeated. After the printer has powered back up, repeat the suspect test to confirm the
results of the initial test.
