Once the new connection setup procedure is completed, HyperTerminal will automatically connect to the
serial cable through the Com port you selected. You are now ready to run the Engine Diagnostics (refer to
section 9).
VTERM (DOS O/S)
1. Bootup Portable Computer to DOS
2. At the C:\ prompt, type "VTERM"
3. Once VTERM has started, enter the setup menu, select "F5"
4. Make the following the selections in the setup menus:
Terminal type; select "VT100 (ANSI)
New line; select "OFF"
Wrap around; select "ON"
Scroll; select "NORMAL"
Screen; select "NORMAL VIDEO"
Cursor type; select "UNDERLINE"
Margin bell; select "OFF"
DA response; select "NO OPTIONS"
