4.4 Shut-Down Sequence

4.4.1 Overview

If the main power switch is turned off while the machine is accessing its HDD, damage can well occur on the HDD.
To avoid such damage, the machine is provided with a shut-down sequence.
MEMO:
When turning OFF the power of the host machine, be sure to press the power switch on the control panel for 3 sec or more, and then select "Execute" key on the
shutdown sequence screen. There is no need to turn OFF the main power switch.

4.4.2 Flow of Operation

The following diagram shows the flow of shut-down operation:
Moves to the shut-down sequence.
Press on the control panel
power switch (3 sec or more)
Indicates the job being executed, and informs the
HDD
user that it will start the shut-down sequence.
protection check mode
Cancels any job on wait in print mode.
HDD
Cancels any job on wait in print mode.
protection execution mode
Cancels any job being executed in fax mode.
