MITEL SX-2000 CONFIGURATION

This section describes the changes that must be made to the Mitel SX-2000 configuration so that the
PBX can utilize the VP 300's Adaptive Integration features. The configuration requirements may
differ slightly for different Mitel software releases. The configuration instructions note any of these
differences.
The Mitel SX-2000 configuration requires access to a Superset 7 workstation or a terminal
connected to the PBX. Configuration changes will be made for some or all of the following:

The changes to the PBX configuration are divided into four sections:

Trunk and Trunk Groups
Rerouting Assignment
Station Extensions
Prior to these sections is a description of the conventions for SX-2000 trunk label assignment and
telephone directory name assignment.

Naming Conventions
The Mitel SX-2000 permits assignment of alphanumeric trunk labels to trunks in a given trunk
service number and, through the telephone directory feature, permits assignment of
alphanumeric names to individual extensions and call groups. SX-2000 PBXs that do not have
the class of service option COV Voice Mail Port require that telephone directory and trunk
names include number information so that CPI can identify incoming calls. If this option is
