Install Telephony Wiring
DP EXT of the DAC I/O panel contains the tip-ring connections for all 16 ports of the
DAC cards plugged into DP1 through DP4. DP EXT is used to distribute those trunks, four
trunks per amphenol connector, to the 50-pin connectors on the back of the VP 300 cabinet.
The connections are as shown in Table 11-2.
Connect a 25-pin cable to the 66M block, or equivalent, mounted on the backboard. Cross
connect the trunks to the 66M block or equivalent. Refer to Table 11-2 for connections.
The DAC I/O panel has a male amphenol connector therefore, the cable must have a
female amphenol connector.
When installing the wiring, pay careful attention to the tip/ring connections, since reversal
of these two leads on a port adversely affects the operation of DID trunks.
