MITEL SX-100/SX-200 ANALOG INSTALLATION AND
TESTING
This section describes the procedures for installation and testing of Mitel Adaptive Integration for
the VP 300. These tests verify that Mitel Adaptive Integration works properly with the PBX. Some
of the tests are made before the VP 300 is connected to the PBX. Always check the PBX for proper
operation after any changes are made to the system. The following items are required for testing:

During all installation and testing procedures, no other calls should be made into the VP 300.
If the VP 300 receives other calls, the test results may be invalid.
Follow the testing procedures carefully, in the following order:
1. Configuration of test extensions
2. Testing of Mitel SX-100/SX-200 Analog
3. Installation of MIC board
4. Testing of Adaptive Integration

Configuration of Test Extensions
Configure two additional analog extensions in the Mitel SX-100/SX-200 Analog before
performing the tests described in the following sections. The configuration procedure for these
extensions is described below.

Description
2500-type, single line touchtone phones, one with a message waiting indicator.
Terminal/teleprinter directly connected to VP 300 Port J1 or SP1 via RS-232C cable.
Hard copy of the VP 300 configuration database.
Hard copy of the PBX configuration.
Single line analog extensions, connected to RJ11 jacks for testing.
Individually addressable trunk line into the PBX.
Mitel Superset 4 display phone. This phone is required for testing purposes only.
It is used to emulate the MIC board.
Modular adapters for 2500-type and Superset 4 extensions. Armiger AA2560A or
equivalent are recommended.
