H. Dial the extension number of phone B. After several ringbacks have occurred (less
than the PBX configured number of ringbacks before ring-no-answer forwarding),
press the CANCEL softkey (this should appear as softkey 5) to reconnect to phone A.
Does phone B stop ringing? Do you get reconnected to phone A, which was on hold?
NO
Determine the cause and correct the problem before continuing.
I.
Hang up phone A and the Superset 4. Connect the Superset 4 to the next VP 300 MIC
port extension and repeat steps D through H until every MIC port extension has been
tested.
This test verifies that the MIC ports receive the proper display information from the
PBX for direct internal and direct external calls.
A. Using phone A, call out of the PBX and back in on the trunk that terminates at the
Superset 4.
B. Look at the Superset 4 display. The display should contain this information:
TXXX CALLING
XXX is the trunk number.
If the display does not contain this information, determine the cause and correct the
problem before continuing.
C. Hang up phone A.
D. Using phone A again, dial the extension number of the Superset 4.
E. Look at the Superset 4 display. The display should contain this information:
XXX CALLING
XXX is the extension of phone A.
If the display does not contain this information, determine the cause and correct the
problem before continuing.
F. Hang up phone A.
This test verifies that an extension can forward to the VP 300 on a busy condition and
verifies that the Superset 4 display contains the correct information for a forwarded
call.
A. Connect the Superset 4 to the extension of the first MIC port and wait for the PBX to
initialize the Superset 4.

B. Set phone B to forward to the Superset 4 on a busy condition by dialing the feature
access code for Call Forwarding-Busy followed by the extension number of the MIC
