A folder opens, containing the share and the update folder.
The share folder contains the user files, e.g. waveforms, lists. You can copy,
delete and rename the files contained in this folder.
The update folder allows you to start an update of the instrument's firmware. If
you copy a firmware update file in this folder, the update starts automatically.
Types of user data
The user data includes saved instrument settings, lists for the list mode and the user
correction, and the waveforms for the arbitrary waveform generator.
Depending on the content, the user data can be roughly divided into the following
data types:

Settings, e.g. the current instrument settings, can be saved and loaded later or
used in other instrument of the same kind.
●
Externally or internally generated lists, e.g. user correction lists, or data lists can be
loaded in the instrument.
●
Externally generated waveforms can be loaded in the "Arbitrary Waveform Genera-
tion" dialog.
Depending on the data storage method, user data can be:

Persistent, i.e. user files that are recorded on the data storage.
Data is preserved when instrument is powered off and can be accessed and modi-
fied subsequently.
