If this is an upgrade, at this point you
need to:
1. Change the firmware or control
PCP, depending on what you got
with the kit.

you received one in your kit.

9. Once the bezel is installed, the datajack connector is
plugged into connector J34 on the lower right corner of
the telephony PCP.
Warning
Ensure the power IS NOT
CONNECTED at this point.
Connecting cables to a live board
can cause damage to the compo-
nents or the boards.
The datajack connector cable is shown in Figure 5-16.
Note that there must be a loop between the two out-
side points. This shorting loop prevents the modem
from drawing excess current off the line during data-
jack operation.
