Operation

Thermo Scientific
a. Loosen the screw on the stopper base.
b. Align the probe tip with the central hole in the stopper and gently push the probe
into the stopper as far as it will go.
Ensure the probe tip extends about 2 mm beyond the stopper.
c. Tighten the screw on the stopper base.
6. Route the probe cable into the sample compartment and out the tubing access
compartment. (Push it through the slit in the foam panel.)
7. Insert the probe connector into an open port on the interface box.
8. Fill the cuvette with the sample or reference solution.
Use sufficient volume to wet the probe tip when installed, but do not overfill the cell. The
probe will displace a small amount of liquid.
9. Insert the probe and stopper into the cuvette.
Ensure the probe extends at least 2 mm below the surface of the liquid but not so deep
that it blocks the light beam.
Ensure the cable does not obstruct the light beam, especially when using probes with a
cell changer (move the changer through all positions).
10. Set the software parameters to display the probe status monitor and record sample
temperature. See Operation.
