Changing the Ring Tone

Default setting Phone/Video-phone：Melody 2, Melody 3, Melody 4 (Depends on the body color)
Mail/Chat mail: Alarm 1 (Common to all colors)
Message R/Message F: Alarm 2 (Common to all colors)
You can set the FOMA terminal to use different ring tones for voice calls, videophone calls, e-mail, chat mail
and Message R/F. You can also set specific ring tones for particular phone numbers, e-mail addresses and
phonebook groups. →P.110
● You can set i-motion animations or melodies downloaded from i-mode sites or other websites as the ring tone in
addition to the previously stored ring tones or melodies.
● If you set an i-motion that includes both video and sound as the ring tone and receiving display, the FOMA terminal
plays the video and sound of the i-motion set as the ring tone.
● If you set something other than an i-motion that includes both video and sound as the ring tone and then set an
i-motion that includes both video and sound as the receiving display, the FOMA terminal plays the video and sound
of the i-motion set as the receiving display.
● Refer to the table 1 (P.115) for the pre-installed "Ring tones, melodies and alarms".
Also, "Private Cafe" (Chaku-motion) is stored in the pre-install folder of "i-motion".

Mail ......Sets the ring tone and display for incoming i-mode mail, SMS or packet communication. ("Changing the

mail......Sets the ring tone and display for incoming chat mails. ("Changing the Display" → P.121)

MessageR......Sets the ring tone and display for incoming Message R. ("Changing the Display" → P.121)

"Select ring tone" Select any item:

......Selects a previously stored ring tone or melody from the Pre-installed folder or a melody that was

downloaded from an i-mode site or website and stored in the Inbox folder or in a folder you have created.
i-motion ......Selects an i-motion that was downloaded to the FOMA terminal or a video clip (i-motion) that was shot
using the built-in camera from Inbox or Camera folder, or a folder you have created. Select one of the pre-installed
i-motion from Pre-installed folder.
When you receive a call, the FOMA terminal plays the video and sound for the selected i-motion (Chaku-motion).
Voice announce......Selects the message recorded using "Voice announce".

......Selects a folder containing stored melodies. When you receive a call or message, the FOMA
Random melody
terminal selects one of the melodies stored in the folder at random and plays it as the ring tone.
OFF......The FOMA terminal plays no ring tone.
Select ring tone or i-motion

When you select a melody, the FOMA terminal plays the melody. Press r, w, q, o or 0 to stop the
melody.
After setting the ring tone, set the display if necessary.
