What is an i-αppli?
By downloading i-αppli from sites, you can make
your i-mode-compliant FOMA terminal (i-mode
terminal) even easier to use. For example, you can
download a range of games to an i-mode terminal
and play them or download an i-αppli that provides
stock market information and allows you to
automatically check stock prices at set intervals.
There are also mapping i-αppli that allows you to
download only the information you need so that
scrolling is quick and smooth. There are other i-αppli
that enables you to store data from the i-αppli
directly into the phonebook or your schedule and
i-αppli linked to Data box that enables you to save or
download images.

■ Using terminal data
Some i-αppli software can browse, store or use
the data stored
(phonebook, bookmarks, schedule, images and
icon information). The terminal data can be used
for the followings:
・Adding phonebook entries
・Using icon information
・Adding bookmarks
・Adding schedule events
・Loading images from the Data box
・Saving images in the Data box
● i-αppli DX
i-αppli DX links up with the information on your
i-mode terminal (such as mail, the Dialed/Received
calls record and phonebook data) to make i-αppli
even more enjoyable and easier to use. This
includes allowing you to compose mail in your
favorite cartoon character screen, having a cartoon
character tell you who an incoming call or message
is from, and linking up with mail functions to provide
real-time updates on the progress of games or
essential information such as share prices.

Some i-αppli DX software can browse, store and
use not only the terminal data used by ordinary
i-αppli (phonebook
schedules, images and icon information), but also
information such as mail, dialed calls records,
received call records and ring tones. The terminal
data can be used for the followings:
