<Reject unknown>
Blocking Calls from Callers Not Stored in the Phonebook
You can specify whether the FOMA terminal accepts or rejects calls from phone numbers that are not stored in
FOMA terminal (Phone) or UIM phonebook.
● "Reject unknown" is only effective when the caller provides the caller ID. "Reject unknown" should be set in
conjunction with "Caller ID request" (P.331) and "Call setting w/o ID" (P.154).
● You cannot set "Reject unknown" when "Set mute seconds" of "Ringing time" is set to "ON". → P.154

Even when this function is set to "Reject", you can receive a call according to the "Call setting w/o ID" setting when "Call setting w/o ID"
is set to accept payphone or calls from callers who do not provide the caller ID.
When you receive a call from someone who is stored in the phonebook as a secret data, the call is not rejected regardless of this
setting.
Even when this function is set to "Accept", you cannot accept the calls from the caller who is not specified in "Call acceptation" when
"Call acceptation" of "Restrictions" is set.
When "Reject" is selected in this function and you receive a call from a phone number that is not stored in the phonebook, the call is
logged as a "Missed call" in the "Received calls" record and the "Missed call" desktop icon appears on the standby screen. Even if you
have activated "Voice mail" or "Call forwarding", the caller hears the busy tone. However, if the FOMA terminal is turned off or outside
the service area or if the ringing time set for "Voice mail" or "Call forwarding" is 0 (zero) second, the caller does not hear the busy tone
and is connected to the "Voice mail service center" or the forwarding number. When this happens, the phone number for the received
call is not logged in the "Received calls" record and is not displayed on the standby screen as a "Missed call" desktop icon.
The FOMA terminal receives i-mode mail and SMS regardless of this function.
<Self mode>
Disabling Making/Receiving Calls, etc.
Use this function so that the FOMA terminal cannot make or receive voice or videophone calls, use i-mode , or
send or receive mail. This is useful when you want to use the FOMA terminal without worrying about
interruptions such as incoming voice or videophone calls.
● When you receive a voice call or videophone call while Self mode is set, the caller is notified with a message that
the FOMA terminal is in out of signal range or is turned off. When you use the "Voice mail" or "Call forwarding"
service, you can use the same service provided when the FOMA terminal is turned off.
● Data communication function such as infrared communication is not possible while Self mode is set.
● You can still make voice calls to emergency numbers (110, 119 and 118) while Self mode is set. Note that making a
voice call at an emergency number cancels Self mode.
