<Check new SMS>
Checking for SMS (Short Message)
The SMS that are not received by the FOMA
terminal are kept at the SMS Center. You can
receive the kept SMS by checking new SMS.
● SMS are kept in the following cases:
・When the FOMA terminal is turned off
・When "
"is displayed
・When the inbox is full
・When the Self mode is set
● You cannot check for new SMS when "
displayed.

"SMS Checking" appears while you check for new SMS.
Once the FOMA terminal has sent the inquiry, the
message informing that the inquiry has done appears.
Press d(Select).
If there are any messages kept at the SMS Center,
automatic downloading begins.
In some cases, automatic downloading may not begin
immediately after the inquiry is sent.

This function cannot be used to receive i-mode mail or
Message R/F. To receive your i-mode mail or Message R/F,
use "Check new message".

Use this setting to specify whether the FOMA
terminal uses the DoCoMo SMS Center or another
provider's SMS center for SMS.

DoCoMo......Uses the DoCoMo SMS Center.
User setting......Uses another provider's SMS center.
Enter the SMS center address
"Unknown"
......Deletes the "User setting" data and resets
Reset
the setting to "DoCoMo".
Enter the security code "YES"

If the entered SMS Center address includes "#" or "*", you
cannot select "International".
