You can restore your FOMA terminal to the default settings
by using "Initialize".
It is recommended to store your data registered to FOMA
terminal by taking memo or using Data Link Software
(P.379).

Initialization begins.
Initialization may take several minutes.
When the terminal initialization ends, the FOMA
terminal is automatically restarted.
■ If initialization is not completed correctly
"OK" after turning the power on
The initialization starts again.

The initialization deletes i-αppli if they:
・ had been pre-installed at the time of purchase and were
upgraded
・ had been pre-installed at the time of purchase and were
deleted once and then downloaded
・ were downloaded after purchase
You can download the i-αppli that had been pre-installed on
the FOMA terminal at the time of purchase from the "みんな N
らんど " page on the " ケータイ電話メーカー " site. Packet
communication charges are applied for the download.→ P.184
When the FOMA terminal is initialized, the i-channel telop is
not displayed. The telop turns on automatically when the
information is updated automatically or when u is pressed to
receive the latest information.
You cannot initialize the FOMA terminal while another function
is running.
Data saved, stored or set on the FOMA card (UIM) are not
deleted.
Settings of data communication which uses a PC are not
initialized.
When there are large amount of data to be deleted, the
initialization may take some time.
