Setting up Chat Mail
Mail settings screen (P.238)

The "Chat setting screen" appears.
Select any item:

Sound setting ......Selects the sound for new received
or sent chat mail in the chat screen from Melody.

Select "OFF" to deactivate sound.

User setting
......Enters a user name. You can enter up

to 4 full-pitch or 8 half-pitch characters.

<Sound setting>
The notification tone does not sound when you receive chat
mail from someone who is not a registered chat member.
<User setting>
If you leave the name blank or enter only spaces, "Own" is
used.
You cannot change the background color.

● This service allows you to exchange text messages

● SMS sent from the FOMA terminal is received as
i-mode mail on the mova terminal. However, you
cannot send SMS to the mova terminal when "SMS
report req." (P.247) is set to "ON".
