Switching a videophone call to a voice call (Callee)
The caller can switch a videophone call to voice call by performing the following operation.
● The receiver cannot switch the calls.
● To switch the call, the receiver needs to set to display the indicator of switching the call beforehand.→ P.94

While the videophone call is switched to voice call, the screen which indicates that the calls are being switched
appears and the voice guidance is played.

The hands-free setting is canceled after switching to a voice call.

Using Chara-den

This function sends a cartoon character instead of your own image when you make a videophone call. "What
is Chara-den?"→ P.284
● You can display your favorite Chara-den if you set "Substitutive image" of "Select image" to "Chara-den" beforehand.
→ P.91
You can also use Chara-den by specifying Chara-den in the phonebook or in the Utilities.
● To switch from the camera image to Chara-den, select "Substitute image" from the function menu. It may take a few
seconds to switch depending on the Chara-den.
When you receive a videophone call, press d (Subst.)

Pressing a dial key makes the character perform the action assigned to that key.
■ To change the Action mode
You can switch between "Whole" and "Parts" in the function menu of "Chara-den setup".

"Whole" action mode gives you full control over the character's movements and expressions
of emotion, etc. Control the character by pressing the 1 to 9 or q1 to q9
keys.
"Parts" action mode gives you partial control over the character's movements (face, hands
and feet, etc.) Control the character by pressing the 11 to 99 keys.
■ To check an action
Press w to view the list of actions.
You can also press c to select an action and then perform that action.
