Configuration of SSDP and devices

12.2.6.1

Checking if the SSDP server is reached

The Plug PC must reach the SSDP server via the customer's LAN and router. In order to make
this happen, the Plug PC's service plugin must be activated.
Procedure
1.
Click Administration > SSDP. The "Smart Services Delivery Platform" window opens, the
Service Plugin tab is displayed. In the "State" section, a message is displayed which in-
forms that the Smart Services Delivery Platform (SSDP) is deactivated.

Establish the connection to the SSDP server:
a) In the "Partner ID" section, enter the Partner ID.
b) In the "Actions" section, click Activate. The service plugin is activated. If the connec-
tion to the SSDP server is established, the "State" and "Connected" status lights are
green.
3.
Enter the proxy settings:
a) Click the Proxy Parameters tab. The following check boxes can be activated:
Enable Proxy Auto-Configuration
Enable HTTP Proxy
Enable SOCKS Proxy
b) Click Save. The changes are saved.
4.
Configure the name of the device:
a) Click the Device Identification tab. The "Device model", "Smart Services device ID",
and "Device name" lines are displayed.
b) Enter the name of the device into the "Device name" field, e.g., like it is displayed in
the "Smart Services device ID" line.

Click Save. The changes are saved.
