Using the Analyzer
Measurement Techniques
1 From the front panel press Amplitude > Reference Level. Adjust the
reference level so the highest value in the trace just intersects the top graticule
(grid line) of the display.
2 Adjust Scale/Div so the desired response is visible and covers more than half
the display.
3 Press Sweep > Repeat Sweep On. Make sure that auto-sensitivity is on:
Amplitude > Sensitivity [Auto].
4 Place a marker on the lowest amplitude feature of the trace you would like to
characterize using Markers. Note the sweep-to-sweep variation.
5 If the sweep-to-sweep variation is too high for your needs, increase the
sensitivity until the sweep-to-sweep variation is acceptable. The sweep will
slow down and multiple sweeps per trace update will start to occur as
sensitivity is increased.
