The WDCA allows you to select from three performance modes to optimize
the measurements for your specific needs.
• Normal mode provides excellent accuracy and the speed of two sweeps per
second over a 2 nm span.
• Precision mode offers the increased accuracy needed for final filter test appli-
cations.
• Fast mode allows wider spans with faster sweep speed. In this mode you can
measure filters with multiple channels or see if the rejection band holds over
wide ranges.
To help with real-time adjustments on larger signals, the WDCA provides a
range-lock feature. This feature locks the displayed information to the top
30 dB of the measurement range for the fastest trace update rate. Faster trace
updates allow easier tuning and adjusting of the filter's insertion loss and pass-
band location. Range-lock is available with any of the performance modes.
With the WDCA, you can make stimulus-response measurements without the
use of external programs, controllers, or programming. Because it is an inte-
grated system, there is no concern with linking and synchronizing the source
and receiver. Manual users will find the features, interface, and large display
easy to learn and use. The marker features and built-in measurement aids
allow you to focus on the device under test and not worry about the instru-
mentation or controller. Experienced OSA users will find many features,
markers, and operational functions to be familiar.
For remote programming and automatic testing, the WDCA builds on the
extensive programming command set of Agilent Technologies' OSA family. You
can leverage your current OSA programs for fast program implementation.
