2.2.8.6 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
Replacement
Removal Procedure:
Warning!
Refer to "Cooling System Service Warning" in "Warnings
and Notices".
1. Release cooling system pressure.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to
2.11.8.1 Battery
3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor wiring
harness connector.
4. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Installation Procedure:
1. Apply sealant on the engine coolant temperature sensor
thread.
2. Install the engine coolant temperature sensor.
3. Tighten the engine coolant temperature sensor.
Torque: 15 Nm (Metric) 11 lb-ft (US English)
4. Connect engine coolant temperature sensor wiring
harness connector.
5. Fill the engine coolant.
6. Connect the battery negative cable.
