Manual Transmission
5th Gear Working Status:
The shift control makes the 5th/Reverse shift shaft and fork
move to the left side (front end) of the transmission. The 5th/
Reverse gear synchronizer and 5th gear are meshing. Main
shaft receives the input torque from the 5th gear and outputs
torque and speed opposite to the input shaft.
3.3.3.2
Vehicle
Speed
Principle
Vehicle speed sensor is a Hall sensor, installed on the drive
gear shaft. When the transmission main shaft rotates, the
vehicle speed sensor operates, so that the vehicle speed
sensor generates signals and sends the signal to the
instrument panel.
3.3.3.3 Reverse Switch Working Principle
Reverse switch is a normally open switch. When the reverse
gear is engaged, the reverse fork will squeeze reverse switch
contact, making reverse switch closed, then the reversing light
circuit is completed and reversing light is lit.
