DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION (DCT) (CRF1000D)
DTC 41-1 (N-D SWITCH
MALFUNCTION)
1. N-D Switch Power Input Voltage Inspection
Disconnect the right handlebar switch 6P (Black)
connector (page 22-24).
Turn the ignition switch ON with the engine stop
switch " ".
Measure the voltage between the wire harness side
6P (Black) connector [1] and ground.
Connection: Yellow/red (+) – Ground (–)
Is the voltage within 4.75 – 5.25 V?
YES
NO
2. N-D Switch Power Input Line Open Circuit
Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the PCM 33P (Black) connector (page
4-39).
Check for continuity between the wire harness side
6P (Black) connector [1] and 33P (Black) connector
[2].
TOOL:
Test probe
Connection: Yellow/red – B27
Is there continuity?
YES
NO
3. N-D Switch Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Check for continuity at the switch side 6P (Black)
connector [1] in each switch position.
Connection:
N switch:
Light green/yellow – Yellow/red
D switch:
Blue – Yellow/red
Is there continuity with the switch pushed and
no continuity with the switch released?
YES
NO

– GO TO STEP 3.
– GO TO STEP 2.

– Replace the PCM with a known good one
(page 4-39) and recheck.
– Open circuit in the Yellow/red wire
– GO TO STEP 4.
– Faulty N-D switch
