(3) Function and construction

Air conditioner body assembly
In general it is a component part to blow cold air into
the cabin.
Temperature sensor tube
It is used to sense the temperature at the outlet
of the evaporator and automatically adjust the
opening of the expansion valve.
Low-pressure and low-temperature gas
The pressure and temperature ranges during normal operation
are shown below for reference.
Temperature: 70 to 120°C
Pressure: 12 to 16 kg/cm
Compressor
The compressor driven by the engine through the V-belt is used to
turn the evaporated refrigerant into high-pressure (high-temperature)
gas and send it to the condenser. The magnet clutch attached to it
can be used to stop the compressor at any time.

Evaporator
The atomized refrigerant evaporates to turn
into gas while drawing heat from the surround-
ings through the cooling fin.

It is used to pressurize and send cabin air to the
evaporator and to send cooled air to the cabin.
Expansion
Expansion valve
It is used to expand the refrigerant rapidly to turn it into
low-pressure and low-temperature liquid (atomized liquid).

The characteristics of the refrigerant used so far are as
follows. When the gasified refrigerant is compressed to 15

refrigerant is cooled to less than 60 C (which means the
refrigerant emits 10 C or more of heat), it turns into liquid.
When the pressure is reduced to less than 2.14 kg/cm
turns back into gas at 0 C.
