3. For samples 1, 2 and 3, use Standards 1, 2, and 3, respectively.
Set up the autosampler
The autosampler you intend to use must be connected to the spectrometer. Installation procedures
are described in the User's Guide provided with the autosampler.
Set up the autosampler by following the directions given in Chapter 6, Operation of the
Instrument.
Load the autosampler
In the autosampler tray, location zero (0) is reserved for the wash, (1) is for blank, and locations 2
through 9 are reserved for standard solutions. The last standard location is reserved for reslope.
If not already done, load the autosampler tray with a blank, standards, and samples.
Enter parameters
Refer to Chapter Touch Screen, section Analyze Page: Autosampler, if you require information
on how to enter analytical parameters. Fill in the entries for autosampler tray, first and last sample
location, and recalibration frequency.
If not already done, install and align the required lamp, and ignite the flame.
On Parameters page, Spectrometer subpage:
1. Enter 1 second for the Integration Time.
2. Enter 3 for the number of Replicates.
3. Enter 3 seconds for the Read Delay.
4. Enter the required Print parameters.
