6. In the Signals dialog touch the Flame Emission radio button to change the signal to Flame
Emission. Touch the OK button to close this dialog box. Once the dialog box closes the
element field will become blank. Select an appropriate element for analysis. A dialog box
will then appear telling you to aspirate the most concentrated standard. Place the tubing in
this standard and press the OK button. The gain setting for the element will be based on this
highest standard.
