Interlocks
The burner system has a safety feature that monitors gas pressure and checks for proper setup of
the burner head, nebulizer and drain system. A green check mark shows that all safety interlocks
are satisfied and that you can ignite the flame. A red cross mark indicates an unsatisfied safety
interlock. You must correct the hardware condition causing the problem before attempting to
ignite the flame. Touch the interlock field box to view the status of safety interlocks.
NOTE: If air-acetylene is used in place of N
will light.
Touch the On side of this 'switch' to ignite the flame.
Touch the Off side of this 'switch' to extinguish the
flame.
In an emergency, press the Red Emergency button
located on the upper left side of the instrument. The
system will extinguish the flame.
After extinguishing the flame and shutting down the
gases at source, touch this button to depressurize the
gas lines.
Touch this button to resize the graph of the most recent
or current absorbance reading.
Touch this button to set the reading for the current
signal to zero on the graph.
