Flame does not ignite

Burner flashes
back
The flame may not ignite if the ignitor
tube is not positioned directly above
the burner slot.
Flashbacks can be caused by any of
the reasons listed below.
Fuel and oxidant gas lines may have
been inadvertently switched.
The burner system may leak.

Try igniting the flame a second
or third time.
Carefully inspect the burner
system for possible causes,
referring to the ones listed
below. Reignite the flame only
after the problem has been
corrected. Contact a
PerkinElmer service
representative for assistance.
Check the connections at the
burner and at the gas supplies.
Check the condition of all
o-rings (burner head, end cap,
o-ring on nebulizer front end
cap). Replace o-rings that show
signs of wear (cracking,
swelling). Inspect the inner
surface of the burner chamber
for pitting and replace if
necessary. Check drain
connections for leaks.
