PINION GEAR BEARING AND SHIM
REPLACEMENT
Press the pinion gear
ou
l
of
the
bearing.
Remove the pinion shim.
Install the shim and bearing onto
the
pinion
gear.
NOTE
:
•
When
the
gear
set,
differential bearing,
differen-
tial
andlor
gear
case
has been replaced, use
a
1.50 mm
(0.060 in}
thick shim for initial reference.
Press the pinion gear
in
a new bearing until
it
is fullv
seated bv
supporting
the bearing inner race with the
special
tool.

CASE BEARING REPLACEMENT
DIFFERENTIAL BEARING
Remove the
oil seals
from the case cover.
Drive
the
bearings out of
the
gear case
and
cover.
