SUB-TRANSMISSION/GEARSHIFT LINKAGE
SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL
•
This section covers service of the sub-transmission and gearshift linkage (forward-reverse).
These
parts can be serviced
with the engine installed in the
frame.
•
Sub-transmission lubricating oil is fed
through the
oil passage in the rear crankcase cover. Clean the oil passage before
installing the crankcase cover.
•
Be careful not to damage
the
crankcase and cover mating suriaces when servicing.
•
For
automatic transmission service, see Drivetrain System section (page
14-3).
