Engine Oil Replacement

NOTE: Under normal conditions, the oil filter should be
replaced at every other oil change. Under severe
conditions, the oil filter should be replaced at each oil
change.
Change interval
Every 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or 12 months
(Normal conditions)
Every 3,750 miles (6,000 km) or 6 months
(Severe conditions).
1. Warm up the engine.
2. Remove the drain bolt (A), and drain the engine oil.

39 N·m (4.0 kgf·m, 29 lbf·ft)
Do not overtighten.
3. Reinstall the drain bolt with a new washer (B).
4. Refill with the recommended oil (see page 3-2).
Capacity
4.0 (4.2 US qt) at oil change.
4.4 (4.6 US qt) at oil change including filter.
5.0 (5.3 US qt) after engine overhaul.
5. Run the engine for more than 3 minutes, then check
for oil leakage.

Engine Oil Filter Replacement

Special Tools Required
Oil filter wrench 07912-6110001
1. Remove the oil filter with the special tool.
2. Inspect the threads (A) and rubber seal (B) on the
new filter. Wipe off the seat on the engine block,
then apply a light coat of new engine oil to the filter
rubber seal. Use only filters with a built-in bypass
system.
