DTC P0325 '99-00, '02-04 Models:
Sensor Circuit Malfunction
1. Reset the PCM (see page 11-4).
2. Start the engine. Hold the engine at 3,000 rpm with
no load (in Park or neutral) until the radiator fan
comes on, then let it idle.
3. Hold the engine at 3,000 4,000 rpm for at least 60
seconds.
Is DT C P0325 indicated?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at
the knock sensor and the PCM.
4. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
5. Disconnect the C103 knock sensor connector.
6. Check for continuity between PCM connector
terminal C22 and body ground.
PCM CONNECTOR C (31P)
Wire side of female terminals
Is there continuity?
YES
Repair short in the wire between the PCM
(C22) and the C103 knock sensor connector.
NO
Go to step 7.
Knock
7. Connect C103 knock sensor connector terminal
No. 1 to body ground with a jumper wire.
8. Check for continuity between PCM connector
terminal C22 and body ground.
KS
(RED/BLU)
Is there continuity?
YES
NO
(C22) and the C103 knock sensor connector.
9. Check the knock sensor subharness between C103
and the knock sensor for an open or short. If it's OK,
substitute a known-good knock sensor and recheck.
Is DT C P0325 indicated?
YES
(see page 11-5). If the symptom/indication goes
away, replace the original PCM.
NO
knock sensor subharness.
KNOCK SENSOR SUBHARNESS
1P CONNECTOR (C103)
KS
(RED/BLU)
JUMPER WIRE
Wire side of female terminals
PCM CONNECTOR C (31P)
Wire side of female terminals
Go to step 9.
Repair open in the wire between the PCM
Substitute a known-good PCM and recheck
Replace the original knock sensor and/or
