CLI Reference Guide
Use this command to disable a neighbor or peer group. Use the no form of this
command to re-enable a neighbor or peer group.
Specifies IP address prefixes.
Name of a Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) peer group.
None
Router configuration
Use this command to terminate any active session for the specified neighbor or
peer group and remove all associated routing information. In the case of a peer
group, a large number of peering sessions could be suddenly terminated.
The following example shows how to disable any active session for the neighbor
172.16.10.10:
Verify the settings by entering the show ip bgp neighbor command.
neighbor shutdown
