Allowing switches to snoop IGMP packets is a creative effort to solve this problem. The switch uses the
information in the IGMP packets as they are being forwarded throughout the network to determine
which segments should receive packets directed to the group address.
To display the IGMP Snooping page, click Switching → Multicast Support → IGMP Snooping in the
tree view. Use this page to go to the following features:

VLAN Querier Status
•
MFDB IGMP Snooping Table
General IGMP Snooping
Use the General IGMP snooping page to add IGMP members.
To display the General IGMP snooping page, click Switching → Multicast Support → IGMP Snooping →
General in the tree view.

The General IGMP snooping page contains the following fields:

Interface — Selects the Unit and Port, LAG, or VLAN to be affected.
•
Auto-Learn — Enables or disables Auto-Learn on the switch.
