By predefining detail levels, you can affect the display of the same geometry at different view scales. So, a
custom door created in the Family Editor could display differently at coarse, medium, and fine detail levels
(as shown in the following image).
You can override the detail level at any time by setting the Detail Level parameter in the view properties.
