Property Lines
To create property lines, you can use the sketching tools in Revit Architecture or enter survey data directly
into the project. Revit Architecture aligns the survey data with True North. See
on page 449.
In addition to viewing property lines in a drawing, you can do the following with them:
Scheduling. You can schedule property lines. The schedule can include the Name and Area property line
parameters. (The format of the area comes from the Area Units Format type property of the property
lines.) When you create the schedule, select Property Lines as the category to schedule. See

Tagging. You can tag property lines that can report square footage or acreage. Load the tags from the
Annotations folder of the Revit Architecture family library. The tags are Property Tag - Acres.rfa (acreage),
Property Tag - SF.rfa (square footage), and M_Property Tag.rfa (metric).
Exporting. You can export property line area information when you export your project to an ODBC
database. For more information about creating an ODBC database, see

Sketching Property Lines
1 Open a site plan view.
2 Click Massing & Site tab
3 In the Create Property Line dialog, select Create by sketching.
4 Click Create Property Line Sketch tab
5 Sketch the property lines.
6 Click Finish Property Line.
