Standard PPP Profiles

Move to the ppp# prompt by using the pp MTD:
bcc>co pp
ppp#
At the ppp# prompt you can list existing profiles and create your
own. To display the default PPP profiles, at the ppp# prompt, type
:
ls -l
ppp# ls -l
profile/None
profile/PAP
profile/CHAP
profile/Either
profile/BWPAP
profile/BWCHAP
profile/BWEither
ppp#
This list represents the default PPP profiles. You can add these to
a path or ISDN port. Each profile offers a different level of
security and bandwidth control:
Either: Either incoming PAP or incoming CHAP is accepted.
PAP: Only incoming PAP is accepted.
CHAP: Only incoming CHAP is accepted.
B(oth)W(ay)PAP: Incoming and outgoing PAP is accepted.
B(oth)W(ay)CHAP: Incoming and outgoing CHAP is
accepted.
B(oth)W(ay)Either: Both incoming and outgoing PAP and
CHAP are accepted.
None: No security is applied.
